Personal Support Worker

Status:  Part Time Contract – 3 hours per day, 2 days per week

Education: Personal Support Worker Diploma

Qualifications:

• Personal Support Worker Diploma
•  Experience Preferred 
• Able to work independently in residential setting
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Clear vulnerable sector police check
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to speak/understand Farsi an asset

 Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time for scheduled hours
• Work with client providing support for daily routines
• Report the day’s events to the Centre

Social Worker

Status: Part Time – 10-20 hours per week

Education: Social Work degree

Location: Toronto / Brampton / Mississauga and surrounding areas

Specific Focus due to high demand for services we are curently looking to add to our team.  The successful candidate will be able to provide the following services:

Qualifications

3-5 years direct counselling experience – minimum

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of counselling skills and clinical practice as it relates to children, couples and / or families 

Training and experience in preferred modality e.g. CBT, Solution Focused, Critical Incident, Narrative Therapy, EMDR…

Demonstrated ability to work independently with complex cases

Availability to work flexible hours, days, evenings or weekends

Registered with the OCSWSSW

Clear vulnerable sector police check

Excellent time management skills as it pertains to scheduling and paperwork

Currently have, or eligible for, Professional Liability Insurance

Demonstrated crisis intervention skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Access to a computer, e-mail and printer

Fluency in English and any other language is an asset

Any type of specialty is an asset
 

Responsibilities

 Create and implement treatment plans

Wrie reports as require

Provide outreach, education and promotions to the community

May be required to supervise placement students

We are looking for qualified therapists to work directly with clients. Work will be offered on a case by case basis, dependent on availability. Additional cases may be available if the therapist is able to travel. We have recently received requests for services in the  Brampton, Mississauga, Bolton, Maple, Barrie, Toronto, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Brantford and Woodstock areas.

Psychologist

Status:  Part Time – 10-20 hours per week

Education: Registered Psychologist

Location: Brampton / Mississauga, Hamilton / Niagara and surrounding areas

Specific Focus We need people who can provide some or all of the following services

• Provide individual, couple or family counselling based on the need of the client
• Work with children and youth dealing with multiple issues
• Provide individual counselling to traumatized survivors of car accidents

Qualifications

• 3-5 years direct counselling experience – minimum
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of counselling skills and theory as it relates to individuals (children, youth or adults), couples and/or families
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with complex cases
• Availability to work flexible hours (days, evenings or weekends)
• Registered with appropriate regulatory board
• Clear vulnerable sector police check
• Currently have, or eligible for, Professional Liability Insurance
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills
• Knowledge of community resources
• Ability to effectively deal with conflict
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Access to a computer and e-mail

• Provide clinical counselling to individuals, couples or families
• Create treatment plans
• Write clinical summaries and case reviews as needed

Play Therapist

Education: Registered Play Therapist

Location: Brampton / Mississauga, Hamilton / Niagara and surrounding areas
