At present we have Full Time as well as Part Time opportunities available for Clinical Social Workers and Play Therapists at our offices in Brampton, Niagara Falls, Mississauga and Orangeville.

Play Therapists (Full Time & Part Time)

Education: Relevant Counselling Degree and Play Therapist Certification/Training

Specific Focus: The successful candidate will be able to provide the following services:

  • Play Therapy to children aged 3 to 13 years old dealing with a variety of issues
  • Work with parents and families providing support, counselling and education to best meet the needs of the children in play therapy

Qualification:

  • Minimum 5 years direct counselling experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of counselling skills and clinical practice as it relates to children and youth
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with complex cases
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours (days, evenings or weekends)
  • Registered with the OCSWSSW or other appropriate regulatory board
  • Clear vulnerable sector police check
  • Demonstrated crisis intervention skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent time management skills as it pertains to scheduling and paperwork
  • Able to meet time lines independently

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide Play Therapy to children aged 3 to 13 years old dealing with a variety of issues including grief, trauma, separation /divorce, ADHD, etc.
  • Work with parents and families providing support, counselling and education to best meet the needs of the children in play therapy
  • Create treatment plans
  • Write reports as required

 Note: We are looking for qualified therapists to work directly with clients.   Work will be offered on a case by case basis, dependent on availability.

Clinical Social Workers (Full Time & Part Time)

Education: MSW preferred

Specific Focus: The successful candidate will be able to provide the following services:

  • Client centered individual, couple or family counselling and/or coaching
  • Able to provide brief, solution focused work with clients in person, on the phone or via video conferencing
  • Able to produce professional quality clinical notes within 3 business days

Qualification:

  • Minimum 5 years direct counselling experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of counselling skills and clinical practice as it relates to children, youth, adults couples and/or families
  • Training and experience in preferred modality e.g. CBT, Solution Focused, Critical Incident, Narrative, EMDR
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with complex cases
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours (days, evenings or weekends)
  • Registered with the OCSWSSW
  • Clear vulnerable sector police check
  • Demonstrated crisis intervention skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent time management skills as it pertains to scheduling and paperwork
  • Able to meet time lines independently
  • Fluency in any other language is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical counselling to children, youth, adults, couples or families
  • Create and implement treatment plans
  • Write reports as required within required time frame
  • Deliver professional development workshops
