Danielle is a passionate and enthusiastic psychotherapist who enjoys meeting clients and helping them get where they want to be. Danielle provides a safe and private place for her clients to express themselves without fear of judgment. Danielle believes in collaborating with her clients to develop a plan to meet her client’s unique needs. Danielle helps her clients identify any barriers and develop strategies to overcome them. Danielle believes in empowering her clients and is empathetic and compassionate with her clients. Danielle enjoys making her clients feel comfortable and will work hard to establish a therapeutic alliance with you. Danielle offers acceptance and undue positive regard to her clients. Everyone is unique, and Danielle will work with you to customize a plan, pivoting as needed. Danielle is patient, kind, and actively listens.

Danielle has experience working with children, adolescents, youth, and adults. Danielle can provide individual, virtual and telephone sessions to individuals, couples, and families. Danielle has experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, relationship challenges, grief, low self-esteem, parenting, and attachment. Danielle has an eclectic approach that encompasses a variety of interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Strength Based Therapy and more. Danielle is also trauma-informed.

Danielle completed her Bachelor of Arts, in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology at Brock University, where she graduated with Honours. Danielle graduated from Yorkville University in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying). Since completing her education, Danielle has gained experience working with individuals and families involved with domestic violence. Danielle has worked with individuals charged with domestic violence and individuals who have exposed their children to domestic violence. Danielle is certified in Caring Dads. Danielle is also certified in walk-and-talk therapy which combines the benefits of nature with the therapeutic experience. Outside of her counselling experience, Danielle has immense experience working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, recently released from incarceration, individuals on social assistance, and individuals at different stages of their lives.
