Mark Grinnell is a Registered Social Worker with over five years of experience offering a strength-based practice to children, youth, couples, families, and individuals. Mark has provided support to clients coping with trauma, mental health symptoms such as anxiety and depression, family violence, life stage adjustment, addictions, and family conflict and parenting.
Mark employs a client-centered, goal-oriented approach that includes techniques such as motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and psychodrama. Mark focuses on an empathetic and supportive relationship that focuses on making meaning through hardships while allowing for safe discussion of challenging emotions.
Qualifications: Mark has a Bachelor of Social Work, Cum Laude, as well as a Master’s of Social Work, Mental Health Concentration, from Roberts Wesleyan College. Mark is registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and is a Licensed Master of Social Worker in New York State.
