Maureen is a Registered Social Worker who completed her Master and Bachelor of Social Work from Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her studies were based on working with children, youth and families. There in Arizona, is where she had the privilege of providing cultural sensitive services to a diverse community.
Maureen speaks Spanish as a second language and has extensive experience working with individuals who have been impacted by domestic and sexual violence. In addition, she has provided counseling and individualized services to those who have been impacted by mental health matters, legal issues, and catastrophic vehicle accidents.
Maureen’s experience in delivering services derives from a strength- based approach utilizing modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Solution Focus Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy and Conflict Resolution. Over the years Maureen has supported hundreds of individuals, couples, youth and children.
