Nancy Friedman

Registered SOCIAL WORKER

Nancy Friedman is a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience providing counselling in the areas of mental health, child welfare, management, teaching and training. Nancy offers Brief Solution Focused, Narrative and Cognitive Behavior counselling to children, youth, adults, couples, and families to help people with any challenges hindering their everyday lives.


Nancy assists her clients by managing issues such as: Addiction, Anger Management, Anxiety, Assertiveness, Attachment, Blended Families, Body Image, Burnout, Care-giving, Communication, Custody & Access, Depression, Divorce/Separation, Employment, Feeling of Sexual Inadequacy, Family Violence, Immigration adjustment, Intergenerational Issues, Job Satisfaction, Life Transitions, Loss, Parent-Child Conflict, Post-Partum Depression, Relationship, Self Esteem, Stress, Suicide Ideation, Surviving Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse, and Work Related conflicts.


Nancy also facilitates workshops to organizations in: Positive Psychology, Wellness and Self-Care as well as Inspiring Professional Autonomy and Resilience to improve morale, job satisfaction and retention, productivity and quality of services and reduce sick leave and absenteeism.


Qualifications: Nancy has a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Social Work and a Certificate in Teaching Effectiveness.
