Traditional Land acknowledgement

The Family Enhancement Centre acknowledges that our offices in Brampton and Orangeville are located on Indigenous lands with deep and enduring histories. We recognize the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat Nations, as well as the treaty lands and territory of the Williams Treaty Nations and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also acknowledge Treaty 19, the Ajetance Purchase of 1818.

We honour the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands and those who continue to live, work, and build community here today.

As a counselling organization, we are committed to listening, learning, and building respectful relationships with First Nations and Inuit communities.
