Sonya has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with Honours from Brock University, followed by the attainment of a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from McMaster University in 2023. Registered as a Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), Sonya brings a strong academic foundation and commitment to ethical practice.
With a focus on continuous professional development, Sonya has garnered valuable experience since completing her education. Her expertise extends to providing support for diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, children in the child welfare system, Indigenous Peoples, and individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, as well as those dealing with mental health and addictions.
