Understanding motivation
This training program begins with foundational concepts and gradually builds toward a deeper understanding of what drives human motivation.
Participants will explore key motivational theories from Herzberg, McGregor, and Maslow to gain insight into why people behave in certain ways—and how this understanding can guide effective strategies for addressing performance challenges related to motivation.
Through this training, participants will learn to:
- Use Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory to identify sources of dissatisfaction within their teams and explore ways to enhance job satisfaction.
- Reflect on their leadership style through McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y, examining how their assumptions about team members influence their management approach.
- Apply Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to better understand the individual needs of team members and support their intrinsic motivation.
By the end of the course, participants will have refreshed their knowledge of classic motivational models and considered practical applications for improving motivation and performance within their teams.
