This approach encourages clients to validate their experiences while also working toward positive change.


DBT has been found to be effective for a range of mental health conditions beyond BPD (borderline personality disorder), including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
